A Memory for Life

From the moment I arrived at Villa White Lion, I felt embraced by something special. Every detail has clearly been chosen with care and heart. The personal tips for charming restaurants and unforgettable adventures made my stay even richer; the helicopter flight felt like a dream suspended in the sky, and the bush dinner was simply magical.

The house itself is luxuriously designed, creating a truly carefree and indulgent atmosphere. An inspiring book waiting on the coffee table, beautifully scented soap in every room, and the intriguing lion watching over the living space… everything contributes to a sense of warmth and refined elegance.

This is a place for those seeking peace and stillness. Wildlife comes to greet you during your morning yoga session by the pool or when you open the curtains at sunrise. Every drive to and from the villa feels like a mini safari; you never know which animal you’ll encounter next. And as you explore the estate further, even more wonders reveal themselves.

I leave with a full heart and deep gratitude for having been able to stay here. Villa White Lion is not just a destination; it is a memory I will carry with me.

This was our second stay in Villa White Lion and as this is our last day, we are already thinking to come back here. 😊

This time around, we explored the greater Hoedspruit area some more: Graskop, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Gods Window (waauw!) and several hiking trails in Blyde canyon forever resort with stunning views on the caynon. 🗻

A definitly highlight was the Safari in Olifant River. Tons of elephants 🐘 were on the river bank, in the river and even causaliteit walking next to our safari car. We could almost touch them as we felt their greatness.
The game drive was followed a beautiful sunset bush dinner by the river. A truly unforgettable experience which we can highly recommend.

When I stay in the villa it always seems to come with inner peace, the constantly being ‘on’ is somehow switched ‘off’ here. 🧘‍♀️

From sipping morning coffee in the outdoor lounge and philosophizing on life, to laying at the pool while watching a Nyala (we named him Mr Nyala 😊) passing by and stop to eat bush (lots of it btw) - giving us an instant connection to nature.

The feeling that Wildlife (especially Mr Nyala) and I can enjoy each others company so closeby is an incredible mesmerizing experience. 🥰

What an unforgettable journey and a stay we will cherish forever!

The villa was a true oasis of peace and comfort. We loved the outdoor shower, refreshing dips in the pool, and relaxing on the terrace with its stunning views. Walks through the surrounding wilderness, among giraffes and zebras, made it even more special.

Our days were filled with wonderful experiences and excursions, from meeting Jessica the Hippo, to the Graskop Gorge Lift and the impressive Potholes.

The Safaris were extraordinary, with the highlight being our overnight stay in a tent along the Olifants River. Encountering both white and black rhinos is something we will never forget.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful villa and your warm hospitality. You made us feel at home from the very first moment. We truly got to experience South Africa and embrace its warmth and openness. We can't wait to come back!

Villa White Lion is truly a DREAM location where you feel right at home immediately. We were warmly welcomed with a welcome sign bearing our names and a delicious local South African drink. The villa features a well-thought-out interior and exterior that sparks the imagination, ideal for enjoying African wildlife and so much more to the fullest from here. We received top-notch information well in advance, allowing us to truly enjoy this dream vacation immediately. On this permanently secured estate, you can hike, bike, and go on a game drive yourself, which is pure LUXURY in itself. The Kruger Park gate is located just 40 minutes away, and countless other estates are nearby. There are countless valuable activities to do, and everything from shops to delicious, cozy restaurants is just a stone's throw away.

An UNFORGETTABLE stay at Villa White Lion!

A host will meet you at the gate of Zandspruit Bush and Aero Estate and escort you to the villa. A lovely gift and a welcome sign made us feel instantly at home on vacation. Everything was perfectly arranged.
Villa White Lion is a STUNNING luxury villa in a unique location. Every comfort is provided. Spacious rooms, each with their own bathroom, outdoor shower, and views of nature. The living room and kitchen are tastefully decorated and create a home-from-home feeling. 

The swimming pool provides relaxation and cooling on a hot day. On the terrace, you can relax for hours in the lounge and enjoy the tranquility, the nature, and the wildlife that roams freely on the estate and passes by.
During our stay at Zandspruit Bush & Aero Estate, we thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to go on a game drive. A unique experience! Drive around at your own pace on the dirt roads or quietly enjoy the scenery at the waterhole. We saw giraffes, zebras, impalas, kudus, wildebeest, and sometimes up close.

Nothing was too much trouble for the on-site host; a WhatsApp message and a quick response. Everything was perfectly arranged, from groceries in the refrigerator upon arrival to key drop-off upon departure.

The villa and service deserve a 10/10!!!

We booked several excursions through My Africa, and each one was PERFECTLY organized. Kruger is only a 45-minute drive away and is beautiful, but the game drive to Olifants River Reserve with breakfast and the game drive to Blue Canyon with a bush braai are our favorites. The boat trip on the Blyde River is also highly recommended.
Hoedspruit is a charming town with many restaurants serving delicious, affordable food. Many restaurants also have a playground for children, which our 5-year-old grandchild loved.

In short, we had a SUPER FANTASTIC experience. Spotting the Big 5, game drives, a safe environment, peace and relaxation at the villa, delicious food, very friendly people... memories to last a lifetime.
